Boulder another Silicon Valley?

Paul Graham thinks Boulder could become the next Silicon Valley:

Within the US, the two cities I think could most easily be turned into new silicon valleys are Boulder and Portland. Both have the kind of effervescent feel that attracts the young. They’re each only a great university short of becoming a silicon valley, if they wanted to.

While I think Bolder is a terrific place to start a business, I frankly hope it doesn’t follow the same path as the Bay Area. Housing prices are already rather high here and traffic gets worse each year. Thought I wouldn’t mind if a few of those Bay Area billionaires settled here and started doing angel investing.

If Boulder did turn into another SV, perhaps we’d get good bands coming through on weekends instead of on Mondays. Seems like Denver/Boulder only gets the tired folks on a layover between Chicago and LA.
