John Reese just released another of his occasional newsletters. He seems to break all the rules and still succeed. The newsletter announcement came to me on a Saturday morning, and the newsletter itself is a PDF that you have to download from his web site.

Anyway, I wouldn’t even mention it except that he has a great section about how easy it is too waste time screwing around online. His recommendation? Turn off the computer and use a pen and paper! I try to do that every now and then. Often the best catalyst for me is to schedule a meeting with someone at a coffee shop and just take a notebook. Reese’s newsletter inspires me to make it more of a daily habbit. (He said as he typed in yet another pointless blog post. )
