Google Maps

I just heard about Google Maps from Brad Feld. In short, it rocks. The interactive nature is extremely cool – much smoother than Mapquest and others. And it also generates a link for you, which has always been one of my pet peeves with Mapquest. Here’s a link to my old address in Chicago: 1859 S. Allport. If you drag down and to the left, you’ll see that I wasn’t too far from downtown – just a 10–15 minute bike ride from the Sears Tower.

(I started to link to my current address, but my wife probably wouldn’t like that. It’s been six years since I lived in Chicago, so that seems safe.)

Another cool thing, to find the Sears Tower address, I just typed “Sears Tower Chicago” into the search box and it generated a list of suggestions and where they are on the map. Awesome!
